Holiday in a trailer

I was feeling European when I wrote the title.  In the US, we usually call it "Vacation."

We were thinking of buying an RV-trailer - just like an RV, except without the driving abilities.  You would tow it with a truck.  But, turns out, the trailers we like are too heavy for our truck to tow.  Bummer.

It would have been neat.  A big trailer which can comfortably sleep all 5 of us.  Just drive to a campground with facilities, and you can stay overnight, cheaper than to stay at a hotel suite.  But, really, it sounds like you have more freedom with a trailer.

I think that some day it will be neat to go out West with this kind of a set up.  We could stop along the way in the different states and see what it's like.  I want to ultimately go to Arizona and NM.  Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and New Mexico.  I went to NM a few years ago.  It was great.

I don't care for the idea of flying on an airplane - especially with Jules.  Not sure how she would do.  We would only be able to tell once she was on a plane.  And, then, it's too late to turn back.  And, we'd have to do it again to come back home.  And, having to lug everything to the airport that we would need sounds like a big pain.

I would much prefer to put everything we need in a trailer that we can pull along with our truck.

So, maybe some day in the future.  If we ever need to replace the truck, we can get a bigger one that has a larger towing capacity and do a cross country or coast trip.  Can't wait.
